Viola is also located just a short distance from Spring River and White River, known for their abundance of Rainbow Trout and many other species of fish, canoeing and other water sports. Spring River is fed by Mammoth Spring, the largest spring in the state of Arkansas, and 10th largest in the world. The water emerges from the spring at 58 degrees and at a rate of 344 cubic feet per second and forming a 10 acre spring pool. Federal Fish Hatcheries at Mammoth Spring State Park and White River produce trout that are released into the rivers. A large population of whitetail deer, and other wildlife, make this a great area for sportsmen of all kinds.

State of the art hospitals, Baxter Regional Medical Center and Fulton County Hospital, schools and colleges create an ideal atmosphere to raise a family. Organizations such as 4-H, summer ball for all ages, the County Fair and other summer activities just add to the appeal.
